About Us
Doralice Handal was raised in Ecuador and has spent most of her life immersed in the diverse and rich cultures of South America as well as her own Italian-Arab heritage. She is a veteran of the culinary industry in the Bay Area and continues to cook for both fun and profit. Her biggest passion is sourcing food ingredients from all over the world for her friends in the food industry.
Drawing on her experience with different cuisines as well as her love of Ecuador and her Latin heritage, she decided that she could fill the needs of her friends and colleagues by starting her own imports company and sharing some of the wonderful and rare products that the southern hemisphere has to offer with the rest of the world.
Our Mission
We import specific specialty food products from the Southern Hemisphere for sale to restaurants, hotels, and specialty retail stores. Products include those produced by sustainable farms and communities in Latin America. Among our offerings are 100% cotton textiles, chocolates made from heritage varietals of cocoa, artisanal cheeses, wines, traditional South American condiments, and rare spices.
