- Douglas Quinn grew up in the Washington, D. C. area and was weaned on the fantastic tales of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Although a voracious reader, he didn't begin writing until the early 1990s. After writing short fiction in another genre for almost a decade, he switched to longer fiction, culminating with his first novel the suspense/thriller The Catalan Gambit (2004). The Spanish Game was released in August 2006, Blue Heron Marsh is scheduled to be released in April 2007, and he is currently working on Cornelius, a historical fiction/Adventure novel.
