Durham Scout County - Welcome
Description
Are you interested in developing your mountain skills and and gainng a walking authorisation? Then the chesters weekend is for you. A weekend camp teaching you all the skills you need to enjoy the hills in a safe environment. The course covers all the aspects of the scout accociations walking requirement and broadly covers thoose skills required in the NGB walking qualification of the Walking Group Leader and Mountain Leader (summer). All boats must be Scout inspected and approved - unapproved boats may be approved on the day but please contact us first.
The race will (hopefully) run from Durham Millennium bridge to Finchdale foot bridge (This is class B1 water - Flat water with occasional ripples!)
