- For more than 23 years Karen’s primary focus has been on the development and refining of a Sports Vision training program called the ‘Sensory Motor Integration Technique’. It is a unique evaluation and training program used to measure and improve an individual’s ability to convert visual input into appropriate and timely physical responses. This system has consistently demonstrated significant improvements in the skills that can have a direct effect on performance in many dynamic activities, most notably with Special Forces operations, police tactical units and professional sports teams. She worked with both of Canada’s counter terrorist teams, the RCMP’s Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) and their eventual successors in the Department of Defence, Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2) from 1989 to 2002. During this time she also worked with similar Special Forces and police tactical units from all over the world (USA, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, France, and Germany).
