Edwyn Chan was born in Hong Kong in 1981. He attended The Stern Business School at New York University and co-majored in Management and International Business. It was also NYU that got him into the internet business as it was in the summer after freshman year that he started his first internet venture with a fellow college friend.
Their first project was an internet Chinese celebrity stock exchange website which they subsequently sold off to an ent-ertainment and media conglomerate in Hong Kong before graduation. Since graduation, Edwyn has worked in an entertainment and media conglomerate in Hong Kong and at Citigroup's corporate bank. During the time he was employed he longed to be free and be able to start another internet venture.
Concept Idea Technologies is a company specializing in Web 2.0 technologies (such as RSS feeds, blogs, social networking, tags, etc) and using these technologies to discover new ways for internet users to find information on the net. Concept Idea Technologies is based in China and has operations in Chengdu and Beijing.
