- Siberian Huskies are gentle, friendly and intelligent, but whilst capable of forming a strong attachment to their owners they are not a one-man dog. They are an independent breed and need firm and consistent handling from the start. Siberians are normally friendly in their attitude towards all people and consequently do not make guard dogs. They also 'converse' with their family and other dogs in a soft musical 'woo woo woooh' and a variety of other unusual sounds.
