East Kentucky Directory is a division of Davidson Enterprise LLC, which is locally owned and operated in Hazard, Kentucky. Davidson Enterprise operates two local websites www.ekydir.com and www.tekburst.com.
The idea for EKYDIR.com was developed in the Spring of 2002. Our goal was to give our community a website that would give them easy access to other local business websites and encourage local trade. Having lived in Hazard our entire lives, we understand the importance of supporting our local merchants whenever possible. EKYDIR.com has been growing at a steady pace and currently provides free & paid directory listings, and banner advertising for local businesses. For our community visitors we offer a great source for finding local business websites and many other features such as free classified ads, a message board to communicate with other visitors, local weather reports, a community calendar, and several other features.
As we started the construction of this website, we also started our search for a reliable web hosting company to be the new home of East Kentucky Directory. At the time, our options where limited so we decided to start our own local web hosting company, thus giving birth to Tekburst Web Hosting Services.
