- Stories and light fill my life. Everywhere I go, in everything I do, I’m always thinking, always imagining the story behind what’s happening. There are stories all around us. They’re in our conversations, on our faces, in the striking beauty of God’s creation and in the decaying nature of the things we create. The light illuminates and reveals those stories and moments, so I watch for them. I see the way the light falls through the trees as my family climbs out of our minivan, the shadows, the way the sun catches in my daughter’s hair on an average no-big-deal day, and I picture the wide shot of the family passing from the van to the house and I think, “what’s the story here?” Stories and light. God has grown in me a desire to capture them and to show them to you.
