Energy Management Solutions Limited (EMS) is an independent consultancy which is accredited to undertake Carbon Trust energy saving surveys. The Carbon Trust programme is an energy conservation programme run by the Carbon Trust and funded by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. We provide energy surveys throughout the UK.
Carbon Trust surveys are designed to help industry and commerce reduce energy consumption. At the same time, they help the UK Government to achieve its international commitments on reducing carbon emissions and are therefore free of charge.
The Carbon Trust surveys are funded by the Climate Change Levy, which Industry and Commerce pay as part of their energy bills. The rates of levy are presently 0.15p/kWh for gas and 0.43p/kWh for electricity which means that the Climate Change Levy typically accounts for approximately 15% of energy spend for companies not qualifying for a Climate Change Levy rebate.
