- Family Breastfeeding Association (FBA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization which provides support and information to nursing mothers and their families. We are a group of volunteer mothers who have nursed our own child or children and wish to assist others in having a positive breastfeeding experience. We have completed an extensive nine week training course in breastfeeding counseling in order to become FBA counselors. Although we serve our mothers primarily through free phone counseling, once a month we also offer both a free Prenatal Breastfeeding Basics Class and a Breastfeeding Support Group. Our philosophy is to assist mothers who decide to breastfeed for as long as they wish. We provide these mothers breastfeeding information and support from the prenatal stage through the weaning process.
