In 2005, F&G and Regent Insurance two of Belize's largest and oldest insurance companies merged to create a new company, RFG Insurance.
The shareholding of this company is a marriage of the former shareholders of F&G and Regent Insurance who have a proven track record and over 40 years service of being closely involved in all aspects of the business. The combined portfolios of the former companies is some 40 million Belize dollars and represents a market share of a little under 50%. RFG Insurance has a current paid up share capital of 5 million Belize dollars.
The merger has allowed the new company to invest in a highly sophisticated operating system allowing growth without increasing overhead costs.
