In 1997, a group of business and community leaders saw the need for a locally owned community bank and consequently started First Security Bank of Owensboro. In 1998 a second location was opened on South Frederica. The original founders envisioned a community bank that provided the very best in customer service while offering essentially the same products and services more commonly found in much larger financial institutions.
