Rich began developing Web sites in 1996 as “b1 communications” in Jamaica Plain, MA, out of his apartment. During the early days of b1 he went on a cross-country roadtrip with a laptop and a digital camera, building a guerilla Web site of his adventures. Moving to Portland, Maine in 1997, he collaborated with a local designer (whom he later hired) and re-branded the company as flyte new media, complete with a new logo.
He writes our monthly email newsletter, flyte log, and regularly updates the flyte blog, "flyte: what works online." He also puts on seminars on Web site development and Internet marketing for business groups and entrepreneurs.
