“Lucky” Lee’s Guide Service is a professionally organized, licensed fishing guide service with a goal of customer satisfaction. We have licensed, time-tested, full-time professional fishing guides who are tournament proven and abreast of up-to-the-minute lake and fishing conditions. Our guides will offer instruction on worm, jig, flipping, pitching, and Carolina Rig techniques, and they are eager to show their clients the art of finesse fishing for bass. On Lake Fork, the best time to land a lunker bass is during February, March, April, May, and June. The summertime is just as good, but the daytime temperatures in East Texas can be stifling; therefore, it is necessary to pursue the lunkers during the night. Bass start moving shallow during the warm days in late February, with large numbers of bass getting ready to spawn in the northern sections of the lake. Spawning continues throughout the lake until the end of April.
On Lake Monticello, a power plant “hot water” lake, the best time to land a lunker bass is during December, January, and February. Water temperatures average 60°-70° during the winter months, creating some great bass fishing action because the bass are very aggressive due to the warm water temperatures.
