A Friend of Bill's, LLC has been operating recovery homes for men since 1998. There are currently four homes in Hendersonville, Lebanon and Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The main offices are located at 424 Vance Lane, Lebanon, TN 37087. There are eight paid employees on staff at A Friend of Bill's, LLC. The company is owned and managed by Billy J. and Cathy Booth. The original idea for A Friend of Bill's was conceived by Billy Booth while he was working the 12 step recovery program within Alcoholics Anonymous. Billy now has sixteen years of sobriety in AA and early on he felt there was a need for a structured living environment for certain alcoholics and addicts who seemed to always repeat their destructive behavior. Billy felt that a living environment that respected the client as an individual and strongly encouraged a 12 step program in Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous was the best course of action.
Billy, doing business as A Friend of Bill's, opened his first recovery home / halfway house in Hendersonville, TN in January of 1998. The next year Cathy Booth, Billy's wife, joined the business and together they opened a second recovery home in Lebanon, Tennessee. Cathy has six years of sobriety and is active in area groups of the Alcoholics Anonymous Fellowship. Together, Billy and Cathy use their 22 years of sober experience to guide the residents of A Friend of Bill's.
