After receiving an A.A. in Business Management from Essex Community College and graduating magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore with a degree in Business Administration (concentration in accounting), Mr. Barford became a Certified Public Accountant in 1981. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Barford brings a broad and diverse business and financial background to his accounting and business/financial advisory practice in Frederick County. He has more than 20 years of comprehensive business experience: 11 years of corporate experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Controller and 10 years of experience in public accounting. The services Mr. Barford offers clients cover all of their business and investment needs.
Mr. Barford is a registered investment advisor with the State of Maryland. This certification allows him to provide investment advice, to provide financial and investment counseling, to establish goals and objectives for businesses and individuals, and to assess any type of financial instrument. He is a recipient the AICPA's Educational Achievement Award, and has earned continuing education credits in accounting, tax, and computer software subjects.
