Glory Utility Clothing, vintage motorcycles and how we started Glory Sales and Service.
Glory Sales and Service was founded in 1999 by Justin and Kristina Kell. The Hollywood Blvd. showroom opened its doors on Feb. 14th 2000. Inside you could find a few 50’s sofas, some neon signs and a couple of vintage motorcycles. The inventory was small, but it seemed enormous at the time. We built our name with a strange mixture of 1950’s home furnishings intertwined with Vintage British and American motorcycles. Strange as it sounds, we found our niche. On any given day you could buy a 1960’s Triumph flat track racer, a set of 1930’s salt and pepper shakers and maybe even a stuffed boar's head. When we first opened, we decided to make t-shirts for our shop that looked like the advertising shirts made by 60’s MC shops. With a couple of dozen shirts and some silk screen ink, the famous Glory Sales and Service t-shirt was born. Over the next few years, as we started working more in the restoration and selling of classic bikes, we saw the focus of the shop lean more towards being about bikes, helmets, leathers and motorcycling collectables. We continued to make our t-shirts and noticed a new group of customers coming in just for the shirts. During the winter of 2003 while restoring a 1942 Harley Davidson for Abraham Geisness, we asked for his opinion about expanding the Glory clothing range. The response from Abraham was that he wanted to be part of it. So, we partnered up and set off. One restored bike, one new friend, one new partner and one new journey.
