- We owned 4 Quarter Horse mares and a stallion when we attended the National Appaloosa Show in Boise, Idaho in 1963. We purchased several Appaloosa mares after observing the show and bred them to our stallion. We got 2 very nice colored babies and 2 solids. The rest is history. We have now foaled over 1400 Appaloosa babies since then.
