C arole Hayman is a writer, broadcaster, film producer and journalist. She is a B.A. Honours Graduate from Leeds University and The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
C arole was born in Kent, which has featured in her series of novels, The Warfleet Chronicles . Her early work was with The Bristol Old Vic Theatre Company and The Royal Court and Traverse Theatres. She was a member of the Traverse Workshop Company and a founder member of the Joint Stock Theatre Company, for which she was also the first woman director. She was an Associate Director of the The Royal Court Theatre, for which she directed many World Premieres.
C arole writes novels and works in TV and radio, as well as film. In radio, she is best known for the hit series Ladies of Letters which has run for five series so far, on Radio 4. Her latest novel is Hard Choices .
