I moved to Lake Havasu from the Northwest several years ago to embark on this adventure. Leaving my beautiful grown daughters and a life time of friends was not easy. But I have found that they love to get away from the cold and rain and come down here, lay by the pool and let me spoil them. Lake Havasu has not disappointed me in any way and has in fact become a constant source of wonderment. I had forgotten what stars were supposed to look like! A full moon in the desert is like being on another planet and the sunsets over the lake are a nightly art show.
A couple I know decided to take their boat out one night after work. They picked up some roasted chicken and a couple bottles of wine and headed out. They anchored in a cove, which they had all to themselves (not an unusual occurrence here). They ate and drank and watched the sunset. Later they watched the stars come out. They said, "Hey its 10:00 p.m. lets just sleep on the boat tonight."
In the morning they awoke to the sound of wild burro's braying, quail crying and hawks circling overhead. They made some coffee watched the sunrise and leisurely motored back to the boat launch. They then proceeded home, showered and were both at their respective desks on time for the work day ahead. Now you tell me where else you might be able to enjoy this lovely experience with so little effort? Havasu really is unique and it would be my sincere pleasure to help you discover the lifestyle many have dreamed of but few have found!
