Hungarian Baptist Missions, Inc.'s purpose is to support the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Hungarian speaking people worldwide through various forms of ministry, in accordance with fundamental Baptist doctrinal teachings found in the Word of God, the Bible.
Motivated by the love of Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Hungarian Baptist Missions exists to assist local churches, pastors and missionaries in the evangelization of un-reached Hungarian people around the world. The approximately 15 million Hungarians live in many countries in Eastern Europe (Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Ukraine, etc.) and less than 1% of the worldwide Hungarian population is evangelical. Our organization is motivated by the commandment of Jesus Christ to "go into all the world and preach the gospel," known as the Great Commission. Our objective is to reach the unreached Hungarians worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through recruiting, training and assisting qualified laborers to win the lost and plant local churches in partnership with the existing local Baptist churches.
Hungarian Baptist Missions is a non-profit corporation, incorporated in 2002, registered in the State of New York and is governed by its corporate by-laws. We are governed by a Board of Directors that presently has 3 members. The President is elected annually by the Board of Directors.
