Heart of a Lion is a newly formed LLC doing business as "Heart of a Lion". The organization is dedicated to utilizing the mass media to reach young Christians. Through television and radio shows, an interactive Internet presence and a series of educational and motivational books and tapes, our mission is to educate and inspire young Christians to action.
We encourage Christians to have "the heart of a lion". By this, we want them to be bold, fearless and courageous in living a life dedicated to Christ. However, as the book of Isaiah says, the Lion will walk with the Lamb. With this message in mind, we also encourage our youth to have tender hearts and to show mercy to their brothers and sisters in Christ.
The founder and managing member of Heart of a Lion is Gill Byrd. Gill spent eleven years as an NFL player for the San Diego Chargers. He also spent two years in the front office of the Green Bay Packers. Gill left the Packers in 2001 to devote 100%of his attention to his passion, Christian discipleship.
