- I have been sewing since I was a little girl. I was most certainly influenced by my mother, who is an amazing seamstress. Her mother before her sewed. My daughter now steals my scraps of fabrics and I wonder if this love will be passed down to her also. This business was a dream several years in the making. A dream encouraged by the enthusiasm of those who have received my items to become a reality. My daughter, born in 2004, is one of my biggest fans. She is continually interested in what I am making and often claims my finished products for herself. Thus my business is named for her. Heather is her name and she is a little fish who loves the water. The studio? Not nearly as glamorous as it sounds!
