Helping Honduras Kids was founded in February 2006 by people dedicated to the well being of the children of Honduras. We believe that opportunity, education and love are what children need to succeed and break out of the cycle of poverty and abuse. A loved, educated and happy child in Honduras has a real chance to succeed!
To improve the level of dignity, education, opportunity and health for orphaned, abandoned, abused and special-needs children and single mother families on the north coast of Honduras. This will be accomplished through programs designed to provide for the physical, medical, educational, recreational and emotional needs of underprivileged children, both in new and existing Children's Villages, and in marginalized rural communities.
Helping Honduras Kids also works with other organizations to bring the most benefit to the children. We work in conjunction with Aldeas Infantiles SOS La Ceiba (Children's Village Orphanage), Special Missions, Amigos of Honduras, Project Honduras and Un Mundo.
