- Higgins Funeral Home, located in Benton, Tennessee, was established in 1928 by Dyke Higgins, and the funeral home remained under the ownership and operation of the Higgins family for over 70 years. In January 2000, Neil Higgins, grandson of the founder, made the decision to sell Higgins Funeral Home to Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. As the new owners, Ralph Buckner Funeral Home will continue to operate the facility with the same family-oriented philosophy that the Higgins family has used in serving the residents of Polk County for so many years. The funeral home has retained the name of Higgins Funeral Home and is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
