- A tomboy of sorts from the start, Hillary grew up in sunny Palos Verdes, CA., and from a very young age spent her time celebrating all things rad – bikes, beaches, cliffs, rollerblades, horseback riding, and the Lakers, to name a few. What a movie would dub the so-called misfit art kid wandering a yuppie suburbia, she began her fledgling arts career drawing, sculpting, writing, and singing in punk bands. She spent ample time tailing her father around his successful major Ad agency – EJL – and learned the creative ropes from a young age, until later she was accepted by the rigorous Otis School of Art & Design in Los Angeles.
