Hi, I’m Ian Heydon and welcome to Honeymoon Vanuatu. I re-affirmed my wedding vows here in 1999 and, apart from my lovely Annie, I fell in love with Vanuatu.
That two-week break turned into three years… and while living there I scuba dived, snorkelled, went fishing, dined out and generally did everything visitors would want to. On returning to Australia in 2003 I applied for a travel agent’s licence to specialise in romantic breaks to Vanuatu.
I decided to build this site after meeting many couples who were having a wonderful holiday but were a bit disappointed with the accommodation selected from a brochure or by their travel agent. Only by living there do you get to know the owners and operators of all the resorts, know when they have refurbished or when a restaurant changes chefs and when the tides come in and out. Resorts traditionally reflect the personalities of their owners/managers and we’ve chosen a fine selection of accommodation with personality and atmosphere to suit different tastes.
