For over seventy-five years Howard Frank captured the irony, grit and rhythm of American life in his striking black and white photographs.

In 1932 he became a freelance photographer for International News Photos, and in 1938 his work was exhibited in the First International Photographic Exposition at Grand Central Palace. His work has been exhibited widely and is include in many galleries, private collections and museums.

His photographs have most recently appeared in "New York City in Photographs 1850-1945" by Susan Wright and "This Joint is Jumpin" by Tanja Crouch. Howard continued to make photographic prints from the original vintage negatives up until his death in May of 2000. Prints by Howard, contemporary estate stamped prints and glicee prints from the original negatives are available for purchase, limited use rights and exhibition.
