Hubbard's Cupboard
Description
My name is Michelle and I am the webmistress at Hubbard's Cupboard! I am currently a stay at home mom taking care of our joyful preschooler Alyssa, our cheerful toddler Mikayla, and our newborn Joshua!
I have previously taught kindergarten and extended day kindergarten, worked with the Title 1 reading program helping second and third grade students, assisted with both kindergarten and second grade classes, was an after school study coach for fifth graders, volunteered with first grade classes in summer school, and taught as a substitute teacher in grades K-6. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Athens State College with endorsements in kindergarten and reading from Purdue University and IUPUI. Student teaching experience includes working with a first grade class in a public school system and a third grade class in a private Christian school.
Although I have resigned from my public school teaching position, I am still wanting to be involved with education - assisting teachers and home educators in ways that could make their job easier. Updates to Hubbard's Cupboard will not be as frequent as before, but I do plan to continue to make additions - especially as we do more activities as a family and create learning experiences for our own children!
