Description
My interest in photography began during a trip to Russia in 1994, and become serious in 1999 when I learned how to process and print black and white film.
Since then, I have corralled, cajoled, and bartered friends to pose for photographs; have teetered around edges of buildings to get "that sunset shot"; have learned more about lighting and filters and F-stops than I ever thought possible.
I shoot with an eye towards the artistic and an inclination towards the fantastic. My preferred medium is black and white, naturally-lit shots, though I shoot digital colour photography as well. I have shot band promo photos, weddings, passport photos, animal portraits, headshots, human portraits, and music performances. I have donated artwork to the American Heart Association's Triangle chapter auction and door prizes to the North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. I have participated in showings at art galleries and coffeehouses and pizza parlors from Carrboro to Raleigh and Nashville.
