- Welcome to It’s About the Ink! My name is Joe, and I’m a tattoo enthusiast. All together now; “Hi Joe.” I got my first tattoo in 1987, in a little shop outside Ft Rucker, AL. It was a small rose on my right shoulder and not a good one. It’s long gone now, covered up several times. I’ve added lots more over the years and am almost at a place where I can say “done.” I know what you’re thinking!
