- Jeanine Johnsen founded Jeanine Johnsen, LLC in 1999, soon after the birth of her second daughter, Lilly. Being a consummate consumer and clothes hound, she realized the market for classically styled, yet reasonably priced children's clothing was almost non-existent. She spent much time in new York, London and Paris researching the "classics", then sat down at the drawing table and developed her own variations on classic themes, and finally traveled extensively in the far east to locate sources who could produce her designs at prices that would allow her to deliver on her "reasonable" mission.
