Our Mission and Objectives
Our mission is to assist returning JETs with acclimation to life and work in NYC, foster education and understanding of Japanese culture, and strengthen the ties between the NY JET Alumni and the Japanese community.
The NY chapter is involved in various events and activities throughout the year such as an annual softball tournament with Japanese companies/schools, an annual job fair, happy hours, business meetings, cultural events, seminars, outings to the Cherry Blossom Festival, and on and on In addition to these events, we are hoping to broaden our outreach to those JET alum in the surrounding NJ, PA, and CT areas. Our new board took office on June 1, 2002 and is looking forward to working together with our members and many external organizations to make this a wonderful and memorable year for JETAA-NY.
