For over twenty five years I have maintained a particular interest in the causes and effects of occupational and management stress first working in Personnel; later as a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Psychology; during postgraduate studies at the City (Cass) Business School; as a director of a successful firm of property consultants and as the Chief Executive of a major housing charity.
I "discovered" homeopathy, while recovering from the first of two operations for carpel tunnel syndrome (a painful condition which effects the tendons of both hands). I was reading Medicine and the New Man by the great modern Greek homeopath George Vithoulkas. Taking his advice, I treated the after effects of the second operation with homeopathic Arnica and was impressed that the healing process took less than half the time of that following the first operation. A documentary about a homeopathic country vet clinched it. His record of success with farm animals, none of whom could have understood the meaning of placebo, was remarkable. I had to know more.
I trained initially at the London College of Classical Homeopathy and The Purton House School of Homeopathy in Buckinghamshire. This was followed by two years advanced study at the Dynamis School while building a practice both in the City and Battersea. I maintain close contacts with many colleagues and belong to an active group of professional homeopaths which meets regularly in Battersea.
