Graduating with a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of British Columbia and completing his post graduate work in counseling at the University of Regina, John is also a Certified Hotel Administrator from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association. Following a 7 year career in counseling and 8 years in property development and hotel management, he decided to make a career change to real estate and a lifestyle change to the Greater Victoria area. After growing up in Vancouver and living for 8 years in the US Midwest, John and his wife and 2 children chose to return to the beautiful west coast. Earlier sailing trips among the Gulf Islands and up and down the Vancouver Island coastline had created a deep seated desire to someday live in the Greater Victoria area. John believes that the region's unique combination of magnificent mountains, forests, oceans, Canada's best weather and a charming and cosmopolitan city, without the hustle and bustle of a major metropolis, is second to none in North America.
