About Kea West Coast Tours
Begun in 1990, Kea Tours has been owned and operated by Matt and Linda Lysaght since 1998. With a total commitment to life on the West Coast, Matt and Linda share a passionate enjoyment of the beauty of the region, its awesome landforms, its resilient yet relaxed lifestyle, and an appreciation of the character of the people that live here.
Formerly a shepherd, tour coach driver, secondary school teacher and part time entertainer, Matthew has long been involved in the New Zealand tourism industry. Kea Tours is the fulfilment of a long-held desire to introduce visitors to the splendour and fun of actually getting into this often talked about, world heritage environment.
Linda brings a wealth of experience as part of the management team in a number of South Island tour hotels, extensive secretarial work, Principal's secretary and more latterly, as a Legal Executive. Instrumental in the expansion of Kea Tours since 1998, she combines a love of the region with her own willingness to explore and understand its unique and fascinating environments.
