- I started on the internet in the early 90’s during the hay day of BBS. With my first computer the i386DX and a 2400 speed modem, I started to experience online chatting. By the time college came around, OH BOY! a room full of dummy terminal hooked to a VMS/VAX system. It wasn’t log before I was involved on IRC and MUD. My first real internet services from Vividnet didn’t come around until mid 94, which then opened my eyes to html and World Wide Web. During about the same time, the username Smilepak was born.
