As a business entity, KOI, Inc., is a young company. It, nevertheless, comprises team members who represent many collective years of distinguished experience in audio engineering, design, and marketing.
Located in Framingham, Massachusetts, USA, KOI was founded by Shuji Yamamoto, an audio engineer and designer whose inventions for such renowned companies as Bose, AR, and others have resulted in some of the most successful products in the history of the industry. Among his recent successes are the AEGO series of compact speaker systems (produced under the Acoustic Energy brand) and the Toshiba SD-63HK, which have garnered impressive critical acclaim.
The Tiger is the first product to be marketed under the KOI brand name. Incorporating proprietary technologies never before practically applied, the Tiger represents over four years of focused research and development. It is the first of many unique KOI products to come.
