L. A. Dreyfus Company employs a diverse workforce of 200 people and is located in suburban Edison, New Jersey, on a 47-acre campus. In business for over 90 years, we are the world's largest manufacturer of gum base.
Our top priority has always been the production of high quality gum bases. We produce over 100 chewing gum base and bubble gum base products, which are sold in 65 countries throughout the world.
We take great pride in the work we do and continuously strive for excellence in our operations. We are also committed to supporting our local and surrounding communities. Our efforts have been recognized through the following: Quality New Jersey's Recognition of Excellence Award, Superior rating from the American Institute of Baking, commendation from the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission, Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center's Lowell F. Johnson Philanthropic Award, and the March of Dimes Walk America Silver Award for Middlesex County. Also, in 2002 we were a proud winner of a Harold R. Hawkey Employer of Choice Award presented by the Employers Association of New Jersey. The award was issued in recognition of our idea generation program which we call our Personal Initiative Project (PIP).
