Description

As a commercial pilot and flight instructor, Dick McGill was able to view the massive growth and construction that was taking place in California. Very quickly, he determined that the real estate business might be worth looking into.

After obtaining his original salesperson’s license, he went to work for the Jac LaFontain Realty Company in Burbank. Dick was one of the first, early recipients of the prestigious GRI designation. After several years working in the Valley, he relocated to the Panorama City area in 1957, and joined Herb Lightfoot & Associates. After obtaining his Broker’s license, Dick realized a long-time dream and became a full partner in the firm. As time progressed, Dick eventually opened his own Red Carpet Real Estate office. He held many distinguished positions within the real estate community including membership and education committees. He was also a State CREA Delegate and an alternate for two additional years.

After a very successful real estate career, Dick decided to retire and move to the desert. Even though an avid golfer, Dick wasn’t ready to retire just yet. Many of his friends finally convinced him they needed his professional real estate services. So, once more, Dick “dusted off” his Broker’s license and the rest is history.
