LightTech Group was started in 1992 with the purpose of bringing CFL® Fixture Technology into the Television Studio. It was developed to overcome the limitations of quartz soft lights: the intense heat on talent, long throws that ended to wash out background scenery, high maintenance costs due to short lamp life, high electricity usage, and extra air conditioning.
