We are a group of landscape designers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area providing landscape design and services to DC, MD and VA.
Ellen Shillinglaw is a graduate of the George Washington Landscape Design Program. In addition, she has completed the coursework for a Master’s in Landscape Architecture (alas, no thesis completion!). She is the past President of the Landscape Design Group (a membership organization of GW Landscape Design graduates) as well as a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). A long time Bethesda, MD resident, Shillinglaw has found this second career in landscape and garden design is a refreshing change from health policy wonk!
Ed Colahan (recently featured in the Washington Post 12/04) is a graduate of the George Washington Landscape Design Program with certifications in Landscape Design and Woody Plants. He has worked for several prestigious landscape design firms in the DC metro area and now runs his own design company, Edward Colahan Landscape & Garden Design. Ed is also a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD).
