Lumencor, Inc. was founded in 2006 by three scientists experienced in traditional and new bioanalytical methods, solid state physics and the design of novel light engines. Their objective: to develop an industry standard light source for life science applications. Lumencor’s mission is to deliver light technology specifically designed for the needs of the bioanalytical and life science instrument communities.
Today’s life science market is a dynamic and rapidly changing field. Lumencor is committed to providing high quality, low cost light subsystems designed to enhance the performance of existing life science instruments as well as to enable future low cost miniaturization and portability. The goal is to provide light engine products with wavelengths, intensities, degrees of parallelism, throughput and custom features that are unique to the instruments’ or analyses’ needs.
Lumencor has an ongoing dialog with industry leaders in genomics, drug discovery and analytical chemistry and is open to forming strategic alliances with key life science instrument manufacturers in providing for the next generation of analysis tools.
