Manufacturingtalk is a London-based weekly email newsletter aimed at manufacturing, production and automation engineers , covering the latest developments in manufacturing news worldwide.

The title's history reflects the changes on the internet during the first half of the decade; it set up a website as a backup resource for readers, but with the explosion in the use of search, visitors to the website quickly passed the newsletter circulation. The website publishes manufacturing-related product, applications and industry news stories, without charge, unlike most websites, which take the traditional trade journal approach of editor/commercial selection. The Editor of both the newsletter and the website is Mike Page.

Mike Page is a trained production engineer, originally having served a 5-year student apprenticeship with the GKN Group (1959-64). He also worked as a production engineer in the GKN Sankey Wheels division. Mike then served in various editorial roles in the former "Engineering News" newspaper, "Metalworking Production", "Iron Age" and "Tunnels and Tunnelling" as well as various periods as a free-lance covering Eastern Europe for US magazines. He has served as editor of Manufacturingtalk since 2000.

In May 2006, Manufacturingtalk, along with a series of related newsletters and websites which had been launched subsequently by Pro-Talk Ltd, were bought by London-based Centaur Media plc, which retained the staff and began to invest in expansion.
