Title

Welcome to Mass Audubon!

Description

The Massachusetts Audubon Society is the largest conservation organization in New England, concentrating its efforts on protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. Mass Audubon protects more than 30,000 acres of conservation land, conducts educational programs for 250,000 children and adults annually, and advocates for sound environmental policies at the local, state, and federal levels. Established in 1896 and supported by 65,000 member households, Mass Audubon maintains 45 wildlife sanctuaries that are open to the public and serve as the base for its conservation, education, and advocacy work across the state.

Mass Audubon members play a very important role in our wildlife and habitat protection efforts, which have helped restore bluebird, barn owl, osprey and bald eagle populations in the state. Our wildlife sanctuaries provide people with much-needed places for recreation and relaxation, and a home for more than 150 endangered and threatened native species. Members also enjoy many benefits and privileges, including free admission to 45 wildlife sanctuaries statewide, exclusive discounts on exciting programs and classes, savings on gift shop purchases, and free one-year subscriptions to Sanctuary magazine and Connections member newsletter.
