General Information
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is a nationally accredited law enforcement agency located in the Morris County Courthouse, a historic landmark in the heart of Morristown, New Jersey. In existence since 1739, its members serve a population of more than 490,000 citizens spread out over 477 square miles.
Under the leadership of Sheriff Edward V. Rochford, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and its 358 officers and employees is responsible for providing highly technical and specialized services to local law enforcement agencies.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is divided into two separate and distinct sections: the Bureau of Law Enforcement and the Bureau of Corrections.
