Description
Punctilio Model Spot Ltd. was started in 1973 by brothers Dennis and Dave Nixon, in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England. Several years earlier, Dennis, using his skills as a Cabinet Maker, started to make wooden propellers for himself and Dave - a British Control Line team member and national champion, and the famous Punctilio Propellers was born. (The name Punctilio, before you ask, comes from the word 'Punctilious', meaning precise and accurate.)
In 1988, they were joined by Professional Modelmaker Gordon Upton who oversaw the shop expansion and bringing specialist knowledge of scale modelling in both radio and static fields. He also introduced a wide range of scale aircraft modelling accessories made by the Russian company NeOmega Resin.
Dennis retired in 1995 and moved to Norfolk to grow chickens, goats etc in his little piece of England, but he continues regular contact.
