Our modern 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing centre is located in the picturesque town of Vermilion Bay, in Northwestern Ontario. Situated on one of the world's largest granite resources, the Canadian Shield, this area produces granite of the highest quality and consistency.
Nelson Granite operates seven quarries in this area with more in development. We have access to unique and highly desirable porphyritic granite colours such as Vermilion, Shepody, Canadian Mahogany, Canyon Red, Pine Green and Crystal Gold. All of our granites are uniformly textured and variegated and are available in blocks and slabs. Our manufacturing plant also produces a variety of products such as bases for bronzes, memorials and items for the construction and landscaping industry.
Our year-round operation utilizes the newest technology and advanced equipment. We have some of the most modern drilling equipment available from manufactures such as Tammrock, Nova Mac and Dressta. Nelson Granite Ltd. employs full-time diamond drilling, ground radar and exploration teams, so that we are constantly meeting and surpassing the needs of our clients.
