All products offered at No Sweat Store are made by non-sweatshop manufacturers. Some are union plants, others are not, but none allow what has become the typical apparel manufacturing pattern of subcontracted maquilladoras and sweatshops of Asia. Many of our apparel items are also made from organic fabrics. We offer you our Shopping Guide as an easy way to tell which is which. American Apparel: Headquartered in Los Angeles, American Apparel manufacturers all of their clothing on-site in an 800,000 sq. ft. facility. The average worker on the sewing floor earns $12.50/hr, with full benefits. The work facility is clean and well lit.

Bahay Bags: Owner Michelle Medeiros discovered the unique style of handbags she offers in her San Francisco business while on vacation in her native Phillipines, where all of her products are manufactured. Many are produced by individual artisans, while the remaining are made in a carefully monitored, air-conditioned factory in which workers are given full benefits and equitable wages.
