North Superior Training Board (NSTB)
Description
The T.O.P. Report is the result of a community driven consultation process which now replaces the Environmental Scan and the Local Area Plan. Local Boards are required to involve community stakeholders in a consultation and planning process that will promote a greater understanding of the trends, opportunities and priorities in their local communities relating to labour force and labour market issues and needs. The Board then undertakes initiatives and action plans to resolve specific issues and meet identified needs.
The IPS is a web-based database containing information on employment programs and services in your local area that can lead to employment. It is the responsibility of Local Training Boards to maintain this bilingual web site which is an invaluable tool for job seekers, employment service providers, community agencies and the public.
As shown in the NSTB/CFNS Planning Cycle, community partnerships/projects are an integral part of Local Training Boards. The NSTB/CFNS is responsible to spearhead partnerships/projects addressing issues identified in the T.O.P. Report.
